about

Louise Vind Nielsen:
- MILKY SEQUENCER -
Live sound performance
@ Papiripar Festival Radio / Radio Orsimanirana
MK&G - Museum für Kunst & Gewerbe. Hamburg
45 min.

It appears that time as a universal human measure has been obliterated. Clocks and watches have been confiscated. Slipping out from a milky white noise puddle, a gang of creatures with furry bodies, voices and old coins taped under their feet, will enter the radiant Planet Orsimanirana. Transmitting a tensile cushion of lumpy rhythmic vocals on a pink and green sky. Everyone is their own clock and a clock for the others, teasing out a vague memory of what those mechanical measures used to feel like.

Artist and composer Louise Vind Nielsen invites a group of vocal performers (Maria Rincon, Simon Schultz, Sophia Guttenhöfer & Zuza Spyczak von Brzezinska) to embody the milky sequencer and move into the community radio exhibition project ‘Life on Planet Orsimanirana’. Initiated by Jerszy Seymour Design Workshop together with Macao, Assemble, Dirty Art Department and Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg.

The performance was transmitted live through Papiripar Radio (Hamburg), Radio Orsimanirana and Resonans Radio (London).

Restored and mastered by: Cris Jacobs
